Sidekick
Suicide&Co developed Sidekick to provide support for individuals grieving a loss to suicide and to foster open conversations about suicide-related grief. Sidekick was created to support bereaved individuals and open the conversation around suicide-related grief. However, they lacked a modern and digital approach to attract and support suicide-related individuals towards their app.

Solution
To address the challenge, I introduced innovative digital solutions designed to enhance user well-being. This strategic approach led to measurable improvements and a significant increase in the app’s user base. I focused on creating a modern, intuitive UI while using customer data to deliver hyper-personalised experiences. By reimagining the information architecture and analysing common user journeys, I was able to streamline interactions and remove friction points. Throughout the process, I drew insights from successful apps and real user feedback, ensuring every design decision was grounded in both data and empathy.
Summary
The final design created a more user-friendly and supportive experience for bereaved individuals, encouraging engagement through features like quick access to support, saved favourites, and optional onboarding. This improved version meets both emotional and practical needs, fostering a connected community and making a meaningful impact on users' lives.
