Challenge
Suicide&Co launched the Sidekick app to provide support for individuals grieving due to suicide-related loss. However, the app faced challenges in connecting with its target audience. It lacked a modern, engaging interface, and its digital experience was not well-optimised to meet the needs of users, leading to low user adoption and engagement.
Goal
The goal was to redesign the Sidekick app to create a more user-friendly, empathetic, and personalised digital experience. This included revamping the app's UI, improving its information architecture, and introducing hyper-personalisation features to better support individuals on their grief journey, while also expanding the app’s user base.
Result
Through the redesign, the app saw a substantial improvement in user engagement and overall satisfaction. The modernised UI, enhanced navigation, and personalised content contributed to a significant increase in the user base. The revamped Sidekick app became a more effective tool for helping individuals cope with suicide-related grief, aligning with the charity's mission to provide accessible and compassionate support.
